Flying Squirrels- Reason #1036 to Buy Land in Alabama

Why do I recommend buying rural land in Alabama? Today my children and I were walking on our land in Marion (Perry County), Alabama and we came across this flying squirrel that is living in an abandoned bluebird house. We have seen this squirrel many times before, and he performed beautifully for the camera. This is just one more reason why I love living in Marion, and it is one of a thousand great memories I have made here with my family.

If you have never seen a flying squirrel you are missing a treat. If you have been waiting to purchase rural land in Alabama now is a great time to buy, and it would be a shame to miss these opportunities. I have many tracts of land for sale in West Alabama; perfect for your country estate, private hunting land, recreational tract, timberland investment, or farmland.

Hi Jonathan ~ That is *so* cool! I love squirrels - they're fabulous acrobats - but to add flying to their bag of tricks - wow! Amazing.

Cute video, Jonathan! I esp. like hearing the happy laughter of your kiddos!!  We have flying squirrels here...but they only come out at night. We used to have friends that kept them as pets.

That's great! I've never seen a flying squirrel. Nice post.

I'm not a fan of squirrels.

Someone was feeding them in my neighborhood and it causes all kins of problems.

Liz- These squirrels are amazing. This glide is about 30 feet across the road!

Sonja- My kids love this. We go up the hill to see this squirrel about every other week. A few weeks ago it shot out of the hole onto my 5 year old's leg. You should have heard that laughter!

Melanie- Thanks, and if you're ever in Marion, Alabama stop by and I'll introduce you to the squirrels.

Ralph- You would hate my yard if you hate squirrels. I have a huge water oak outside my back door that covers the ground with squirrel food (acorns).
